What is FOIA?
FOIA is the Freedom of Information Act. It provides citizens the opportunity to request various government records. These can be obtained at the office of the local government body. There may be a cost associated with the cost of printing or copying the records.
Why does Vox record meetings?
Vox records meetings to keep a record for research and also to distribute it to any members that wish. The videos provide a history of many items that have affected the town.
When can public comment be made at meetings?
At Village Council meetings speakers are allowed three minutes of speaking time. There is a devoted portion of each meeting for public comment that takes place early in each meeting.
